Unicist Cybernetics

Unicist Cybernetics defines the architecture of complex systems beginning with the unicist ontological structure and ending with the operational aspects necessary to produce predefined results.

It is a technology that includes: complexity science research, complex (adaptive) systems design, unicist extreme design methodology, object driven organization, unicist ontological modeling and artificial intelligence to design adaptive systems.

Unicist cybernetics is integrated within the unicist ontology based technologies to design adaptive systems to produce results.

The unicist ontology of cybernetics defines how the work of a business has to be organized in order to achieve the business that has been defined in the business model and its corresponding strategy.

The purpose of unicist cybernetics is the business that is being developed (Business Strategy).

That is why it is necessary to be fully aware of the business to design the active function first, which is based on the Object Driven Organization (Work) and the energy conservation function afterwards which is based on the Natural Organization.

At an operational level, it can be said that the maximal strategy is driven by the object driven organization and the minimum strategy is given by the natural organization.

The ontology of the unicist cybernetic approach of enterprising and entrepreneuring defines the maximal strategy as an integration of the objectives that have to be fulfilled with the processes to do so as the active function and with the “objects” as action guides which provide an energy conservation function.

The minimum strategy is given by the meta-models that are used to make the business successful.

The purpose of the minimum strategy is the Natural Organization, which is based on the integration of the model that better deals with the business that is being developed.

The minimum strategy includes also the Client Centered Management which provides the active function and the Personalized Organization that sustains the energy conservation function.

Client Centered Management and Personal Organization are integrated by the organizational meta-model that applies to the specific business of a company.

There are four segments of business cybernetic approaches:

  • Value added driven cybernetics
  • Efficacy driven cybernetics
  • Structured cybernetics
  • Flexible cybernetics

1) Value Added driven Cybernetics

It is basically driven by the development of a model based on the use of the rules of Client Centered Management. The operational objective is to maximize the value added to clients. It is a backward-thinking approach that begins with the value that is being added and ends with the process and objects that are needed. The process is centered on client orientation, added value assurance and result assurance.

This segment is put into action by flexibility and sustained by a strongly structured approach.

2) Efficacy driven Cybernetics

Efficacy driven cybernetics includes the human factor as a core component of its model.

Therefore the Personalized Organization sustains this cybernetic approach. The objective of this segment is to empower the human factor of the organization as much as possible.

The process is centered on efficacy, efficiency and quality assurance. This segment is put into action by a structured approach to reality and sustained by the necessary flexibility to adapt to the human factor.

3) Structured Cybernetics

Structured cybernetics is strictly based on the objectives that must be achieved and the central aspects of this model are the objects that are designed to ensure the achievement of the goals.

It is sustained by a structured set of cognitive, systemic, functional and operational objects to ensure the achievement of results. Structure prevails over conjuncture. The process is centered on the concepts, quality assurance and value added of each object.

This segment is put into action by the efficacy driven approach and sustained by the value added cybernetic segment.

4) Flexible Cybernetics

This segment is centrally based on work processes. That is why this model requires a continuous process improvement program to be able to adapt to changing environments.

This is sustained by transparency, grounded knowledge of the business / process and quality assurance. Flexibility to adapt to changes prevails over efficiency. That is why this segment is natural for innovative businesses.

This segment is put into action by the value added cybernetic segment, to ensure the contribution to the market and to promote innovations. It is sustained by the efficacy driven model to make the innovations possible with the available human resources.

Conclusion

The Unicist Business Cybernetic approach includes the four segments integrated in order to build a business organization and a work process that ensures the achievement of the goals established in the business strategy.
