Unicist Objects

Unicist ontological reverse engineering approach

Ontological reverse engineering is the process of discovering the ontological principles of an object, system or reality through the analysis of its ontological structure, function and operation.

Ontological reverse engineering is the unicist mechanical process to discover or rediscover the nature of an object of reality that is being researched.

It is a technological approach that becomes necessary when dealing with the nature of problems.

It is the basic tool for complex problem solving.

Without being able to deal with the reverse engineering process the nature of problems cannot be approached.

This is the real limit of the problems an individual can solve.

The Breakthrough of the Unicist Universal Architecture

Before the unicist approach was developed architecture had multiple approaches to solve its tasks in the multiple fields of application.

Unicist Ontology of Functional ArchitectureThe unicist approach introduced the approach to architecture based on a unicist structural functionalist approach: unicist because it manages a specific reality as a unified field; structural because it defines the unicist ontological structure of such reality and functional because it uses the ontogenetic maps and objects to manage its functionality.

This requires a sound knowledge of the operational aspects and the nature of the field where something needs to be built.

Architects are individuals who make something exist that did not exist before. They are a sort of creators who have assumed the responsibility that this creation becomes useful, aesthetic and solid.

This role of architects has been socially accepted since they exist, which makes legitimate the fact that their earning be proportional to the value of their creation.

The original role of architects is the field of construction but it extended to those capable of building of any entity that can exist in itself and is useful, aesthetic and solid.

That is why there exist architects in many fields such as product architects, IT architects, sound architects, marketing architects, business architects, etc.

Vitruvius was the one who was able to describe and define their role in the 1st Century B.C. He was the one who described the ontological structure of their function.

The unicist approach to architecture includes the need to know the ontological structure of what is being built in order to ensure its utility, aesthetics and solidity.

Unicist Architecture is a structural functionalist approach to building. This building may or may not emulate nature. What the architects need to manage is their integration in a unified field with the project they are dealing with defining its utility, aesthetics and functionality.

Business architectural design with the unicist approach

The unicist logical approach to business architecture is based on the design of the business processes in a structural way. This implies designing the adaptive and the operational aspects of businesses in a way that they can be managed by average people.

It includes the definition of the utility, aesthetics and solidity of the business model ensuring the functionality of its genotype and phenotype.

What was not possible in business before the Unicist Logical Approach?

 1)      The development of diagnoses beginning with the nature of a business and ending with its operation.

2)      The development of ontology based, reasonable, understandable and reliable global, country, market and business future scenarios.

3)      The design of synergic maximal and minimum strategies for business growth

4)      The building of business objects to work as drivers, catalysts and entropy inhibitors of business processes.

5)      The management of businesses as unified fields taking advantage of the possibilities while saving energy.

6)      The segmentation of markets including the hard, functional, psychological, conceptual and life-style aspects to influence buying processes.

7)      The integration of fundamental analysis and technical analysis to develop reliable knowledge.

Using consultants as catalysts in power driven organizations

Power driven organizations are focused on their “shareholders”. They might be not-for-profit organizations, businesses or “solopreneurs”; in all the cases they are focused on the needs of the “owners”.

Business ConsultantsThe natural role of a consultant is:

1) To be an expert who provides expertise.

2) To be a tool provider.

3) To be a technology provider.

The role of what has been named a pseudo-consultant is:

1) to outsource work processes

2) to provide opinions

3) to work as a catalyst

Power driven organizations do not use consultants, they use pseudo-consultants. When using pseudo-consultants they cannot accept including them in the circle of “WE”.

Therefore they are an external element that is used to empower their system because of some problem the organization has to solve. This means that the pseudo-consultants are not part of the business processes and therefore function as an external element that works as a catalyst.

A business catalysts works as a competitor with the system it is catalyzing. That is why catalysts wear out by using them. Pseudo-consultants get worn out in these organizations, and at the end they are perceived as a “persona non grata”.

Also consultants work as catalysts but what catalyzes is the functional expertise, the tools or the technology. What gets worn out is the objective added value which is absorbed by the organization as soon as it is installed and “vanishes” as a catalyst. The subjective role of the consultants becomes upgraded during this process.

Pseudo-consultants are used as “subjective” catalysts, and the organizations compete with them in order to “beat” them to avoid their competition with the power of the members.

That is why “institutionalized consultants” cannot work with power driven organizations, and power driven organizations need to have a reservoir of consultants to use when needed.

Characteristics of big changes

Big changes necessarily produce conflicts in an organization. Big changes require all the energy of an organization in order to be implemented. When big changes are necessary it is because there has been a structural change of the environment that made an organization dysfunctional.

Big Change Implementation:

  1. Define the nature of the future situation
  2. Define the nature of the present situation
  3. Understand the real need
  4. Design driving objects
  5. Design catalysts to accelerate processes
  6. Define the implementation taxonomy
  7. Implement change

More than 4,000 ontological researches were developed since 1976 until July 2011 in the field of individual, institutional and social evolution, including the development of ontology based and business object driven solutions for businesses.

The Unicist Object driven Continuous Improvement

The Unicist Continuous Improvement, presented by Peter Belohlavek, is based on the systematic improvement of the business objects that are part of the processes of an activity.

This approach minimizes change resistance and maximizes the possibility of introducing the innovations that are necessary because they are installed in objects and do not affect subjects. The Unicist improvement uses business objects as catalysts within the alternative plans B and C prepared in case plan A is not implemented.

35th Anniversary of The Unicist Research Institute

June 1976 was the beginning of the research of evolution in the field of complexity science. It was focused on approaching the nature of reality which required an ontological approach to the basic research and an object driven approach in the field of application.

The research drove to the discovery of the ontogenetic intelligence of nature, the unicist ontology, the unicist logic, the complexity science research methodology and the human ontointelligence.

This provided the basic knowledge to develop more than 3,500 applicative researches in the field of individual, institutional and social evolution that were finished until September 2010. The research work is still ongoing.

We would like to share with you this celebration giving you access to the book on:

Unicist Ethics: The Ethics of Doers

We consider it will allow you to expand your boundaries in work and businesses.

The Unicist Ontology of Business Viruses

Institutions are entities with artificial life. As such their dysfunctionalities are produced by the people who participate in them. Therefore, it needs to be accepted that the viruses that are found in institutions have beneficiaries who profit from them.

Paradoxically, the profit is not necessarily materialistic. Viruses are installed by individuals when their needs become extreme. Therefore, types of viruses introduced depend on the structural extreme needs individuals have when participating in business organizations.

The maximal strategies produce the most extremely aggressive viruses for organizations. They are driven by the prejudices individuals have that do not fit within the vision of an organization.

The minimum strategy produces less aggressive viruses and is driven by ignorance, which makes people unaware of what is happening, and by introducing “hypothetical” ideas that necessarily drive nowhere.

Humans use mental pre-built structures to approach reality

Object driven thinking is humans’ natural approach to reality. Human mind approaches reality using cognitive objects.

Let us consider an example: The way a chess master approaches a multiple-game party.

This case has been studied by different researchers that concluded that a master recalls the multiple objects s/he has in his/her mind to categorize the situation of the opponents.

A cognitive object is a structure that contains knowledge, the action procedure, the groundings of such object, and the opinion on which it is based.

The knowledge is necessary to build an understandable description of a reality. The action procedure structures the usefulness of the knowledge.

The foundations sustain the meaningfulness of knowledge. Foundations are the basis for integrating the objects into a structure or network of objects.

Opinions are the “doctrine”, or secure knowledge, on which cognitive objects are built.
